What runs through your head when you see our national flag besides what we did learn in school that; black represents the people of Kenya. Red represents the blood shed in the fight for independence. Green represents the fertility of the land. White represents peace. The shield of the warrior represents Kenya's pride and tradition?
Does it ever occur to you that the flag is a sign that you are a free being? That you are free of any colony and that you can do anything you feel right as long as you do not suppress another man's right to freedom?
Have you ever taken time to go through the words of our National anthem?

| Amkeni ndugu zetu Tufanye sote bidii Nasi tujitoe kwa nguvu Nchi yetu ya Kenya Tunayoipenda Tuwe tayari kuilinda |
Let one and all arise With hearts both strong and true Service be our earnest endeavour And our homeland of Kenya Heritage of splendour Firm may we stand to defend. | |||||
